FAQs

Frequently asked questions...

At Pine Lake, we understand that you may have some concerns or questions when it comes to choosing the right residential for your children. That’s why we have compiled a list of some of the frequently asked questions that we receive about our residentials. We want to ensure that your children are kept healthy and safe whilst having the time of their lives at Pine Lake!

We strive to be a centre that creates lasting memories for children from all backgrounds. Children will thrive in the outdoor activities developing communication, confidence and teamwork. The children will meet objectives in the National Curriculum whilst learning in a safe and supportive environment.

We accommodate for 64 campers (32 boys and 32 girls).  At the boys end we have two dorms that accommodate 10 children each and two dorms that accommodate 6 children in each. The same goes for the girls end.

The cost of a school residential differs depending on your requirements. Please get in touch or use our enquire button at the top of this page.

We currently provide 2 or 3 day residentials.

At each end of the camp centre building will be a teacher’s room that can accommodate 3 teachers.

Yes, a teacher needs to be assigned to each activity session. We expect teachers to support our instructors by managing behaviour and encouraging the children.

Yes, we welcome children and young people with special needs. Whilst we are not a specialist centre, we regularly have children with a wide range of conditions. The important point here is that you make us aware of the condition on the booking form under either the medical condition or ‘other information we need to know.’

To help us avoid collecting lost property, please ensure all items are labelled with the camper’s name. If you think you’ve left something at Pine Lake, please send us a message or call us. We keep each item of lost property for four weeks before finding it a new home.

Please notify us in writing if a booking must be cancelled. The following charges apply according to the timing of the cancellation in relation of the start of camp:

  • within 8 weeks – 50% of total cost
  • within 4 weeks – 75% of total cost
  • within 2 weeks – 100% of total cost

In the event of your cancellation, we will invoke the cancellation charges listed above. We therefore recommend that to safeguard your possible loss of part or all your holiday cost due to cancellation or curtailment, that you have some sort of cancellation and/or travel insurance.

We regret that no refunds can be made in respect of accommodation vacated before the departure date.
